Over 500 guests – including in particular German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier – were on hand at the Franz Haniel site in Bottrop to bid farewell to an industry that left its distinctive mark on Germany. During the ceremony, a miner presented the President with the last chunk of coal mined at the site. Losberger De Boer constructed a mobile event hall for this historic event. The floor space was divided into different areas – including accreditation, foyer and event hall – which we outfitted with 150 m³ of equipment. Seating for the dinner, consisting of around 80 white Algarve tables and more than 500 black Siena chairs, could not fail to create a striking visual impact against a backdrop of images from the history of the mining industry. The padded Dallas chair was selected to provide the Ruhrkohle Choir and the WDR Symphony Orchestra with comfortable seating on stage. An area consisting of Algarve bar tables and LEM bar stools rounded out the setup. With its above-average height and glass along one whole side, the mobile hall offered guests an impressive view of the mine head tower.
