The event service provider has already provided equipment races in Silverstone, Spa, Le Mans and the Nürburgring in 2016; now the cooperation has also been extended to overseas races.
The cooperation agreement, which was initially concluded for one year with an option of extension for a two further years, is designed as an all-inclusive service. Party Rent hands over every equipped Spirit Club to FIA-WEC two days before the race and it is immediately dismantled at the end of the competition. 140 m³ of equipment is calculated for each location. Two ship containers are loaded with furniture for the races in Mexico, Austin. Due to the short time frame, an additional set of containers with chairs, tables and lounge furniture is also required, which is unloaded at the race tracks in Fuji and Shanghai.
The season is more predictable for the Le Mans Endurance Management, as Hospitality Coordinator Agnès Sarda comments: "Due to the agreed firm-fixed price, we know what the full season will cost. FIA-WEC has always organised the Spirit Club itself in previous years. We planned for each race and bought some of the furniture ourselves, which can no longer be used now. By outsourcing the event logistics, we can calculate for the longer term and also have access to a wide choice of furniture. This is an essential factor to ensure that the Spirit Club continues to have an impact.
The central co-ordination of the cooperation is set to take over the Luxembourg location of Party Rent. Its location and size make the logistics centre a practical starting point for the races in Europe and overseas.
